Why It Matters
Today's blood gas monitoring still requires drawing blood
For premature babies this can mean dozens of painful heel pricks
For critically ill adults it means repeated arterial punctures
These procedures are painful, invasive, expensive - and provide only snapshots instead of continuous information

The SignaLife Platform
Continuous Blood Gas & pH Monitoring
Without Blood Draws
Most urgent unmet need. Critically ill adults and premature newborns require continuous monitoring.
Expansion across hospital departments where continuous blood gas insight improves outcomes.
Home monitoring and hospital-at-home — bringing critical care insight beyond the hospital walls.
Implement the SignaLife technology onto wearable devices for continuous, non-invasive monitoring on the go.
The Science
The vital sign nobody monitors continuously.
pH measures the balance of acidity and alkalinity in the blood. It is critical for enzyme activity, neurotransmitter function, and is often the earliest signal of a developing medical emergency - long before vital signs like heart rate or blood pressure shift.
Today, pH is measured by drawing blood - a process that is invasive, intermittent, and painful. Between measurements, critical changes can go undetected.
Blood pH Range
Why it matters
Even small deviations can signal respiratory failure, sepsis, or metabolic crisis - conditions where minutes matter.
The current gap
Arterial blood gas draws are painful, costly, and offer only a snapshot - not a continuous view of patient status.
What We Measure
SignaLife monitors a wide range of blood chemistry and cardiorespiratory parameters - non-invasively, and continuously.
Blood pH
The primary indicator of acid-base balance - the earliest warning of metabolic or respiratory crisis.
Carbon Dioxide
Reflects respiratory function and ventilation adequacy - critical in ICU and ventilated patients.
Bicarbonate
The kidneys' buffer against acid - a key indicator of metabolic status and compensation.
Lactate
A marker of tissue oxygen deprivation - elevated lactate signals shock or impaired perfusion.
Oxygen Saturation
Continuous pulse oximetry showing the percentage of haemoglobin carrying oxygen.
Pulse Rate
Heart rate derived from the optical signal - eliminating the need for a separate monitoring device.

At SignaLife, we've developed a technology to give patients - from newborns to adults in critical care - the monitoring they need without the pain.
“Continuous real-time pH monitoring gives us a clear, ongoing picture of a neonate's acid-base status, rather than relying on isolated ABG snapshots. It helps us detect critical changes earlier, reduces the stress and pain of repeated arterial sticks, and allows for more precise, timely interventions to protect these vulnerable patients.”
